Step-by-step
- 01
Open the image editor
Start with a custom canvas size on HanCutTool’s home page or open the editor directly. You can import an existing photo into the editing workspace.
- 02
Check the pixel dimensions and aspect ratio
Decide on the final width and height before exporting. For example, 1200 × 675 pixels uses a 16:9 aspect ratio; equal width and height produces a square.
- 03
Check framing and cropped areas
Preview the result to make sure faces, captions and edges have not been cut off. Enlarging a small image can make it appear less sharp.
- 04
Choose the export format
Use the editor’s format and size export controls to choose JPG, PNG or WebP and the target dimensions. The file downloads to your device.
Things to know
- JPG is convenient for photographs but uses lossy compression. PNG is useful for crisp graphics or transparency.
- Increasing pixel dimensions does not magically recreate detail missing from the original photo.
- Before uploading, check the destination service’s recommended size and file-size limits.
Frequently asked questions
Does increasing image dimensions improve quality?
Not necessarily. Changing pixel dimensions does not recover fine detail missing from a low-resolution source.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
HanCutTool processes editing and export in your browser. If you use recent-project autosave, that project may remain in your current browser storage.
